Aged 64% American Oak, 36% French Oak for a few months.

Grapes from acclaimed cool climate vineyards in Padthaway, Coonawarra and Langhorne Creek.

Langhorne Creek is one of Australia’s most famous grape-growing areas.  Rich alluvial soils.  Natural irrigation from rainwater from the mountains.  Temperate climate with long ripening season.  Padthaway has a Mediterranean climate and famous for its terra rossa soil.

Full body.  Rich, smooth, big bold flavors.  Black and red fruit of cassis, blueberry, plum, and black cherry.  Also notes of chocolate, coffee, and sage.  Chewy tannins.  Moderate oak.  Long finish.

Australian winemaker Steve Roden.  Born in Sydney, Australia.  Assembled his own working wine cellar at the age of 18.  Has extensive experience at several other Australian wine companies.
